Buying a summerhouse from gardens and more

Please can we ask you to spend a couple of minutes reading this information before you make your summerhouse purchase.

Our summerhouses are supplied by Scotts of Thrapston. We offer a choice of ten summerhouses that can be supplied in the ‘standard’ pressure treated finish and with a variety of roof alternatives as shown on the photographs. There are also a number of options available for the finishing of the summerhouse that you can choose. These choices include the colour of the structure and the upholstery options. The details below will start to explain what options are available to you, and, once you’ve placed your order, a member of the Scotts of Thrapston team will telephone you to discuss whether you’d like to add any of these options onto your summerhouse. We ask you to pay 10% deposit to secure your order, the remainder is paid by cash or cheque at the time of delivery.

It’s also important that you’re aware of the base size of the summerhouse, so that you can be sure that it will fit into the space you’ve allocated, and, also so that you can prepare the base ahead of the delivery of your summerhouse. Please be aware that you’ll need to prepare a level, hard standing area, ideally either concrete or smooth paving slabs for the summerhouse to be erected onto. As such, we’ve included the dimensions for the relevant base plans, for each model, in this section.

Finally, the prices quoted for each summerhouse include free delivery to addresses that are up to 150 miles from Northampton. There is an additional charge for deliveries outside of this area, and the map at the end of this section will help you to identify what your delivery cost will be. Some models also include installation within the price and this is stated where appropriate.

Colour options

Your summerhouse will be delivered in a natural finish of pressure treated European Redwood timber. However, at an additional cost, you can choose to have your summerhouse painted or stained should you prefer this option.

There are seven standard finishes available:

We also supply a tin of touch up paint with all painted and stained buildings.

Upholstery options

To add comfort in the garden, every summerhouse can be supplied with seating and an upholstery set, comprising padded seat and backrest cushions with a tented roof lining.

There are six fabric designs available for you to choose from, to blend in with your chosen colour finish.

The tented roof fabric is supplied in a plain cream fabric, which complements each of the fabric options.

Scotts are also able to supply scatter cushions in matching or contrasting fabrics.

In addition to the colour and upholstery options, Scotts will also be able to tell you about the other accessories available including roller blinds, lighting, rotating base and optional integral storage cupboards.

The plans shown here will give you the exact floor plan dimensions for each of the summerhouses, and also let you know what base should be created for each model.

Delivery charges

Postcode Area Charges Delivery is included in the price if you live in the red area. People living in the blue area will be charged an additional £250 for delivery. People living in the yellow area will be advised the delivery charge when your order is confirmed.
